This fast paced lecture course incorporates and merges the best of the theory of two classroom based Cisco QoS courses - the 'Deploying Cisco QoS for Enterprise Networks' course and the 'Implementing Cisco QoS' course. The course describes the need for QoS mechanisms in IP networks and the skills required to deploy, manage, configure and troubleshoot QoS features available through Cisco IOS Release 12.2.
It describes the two conceptual QoS models (Integrated Services and Differentiated Services), basic technologies, Modular QOS CLI, Classification and Marking, Queuing Mechanisms, Traffic Shaping and Policing, Congestion Avoidance, Link Efficiency Mechanisms, Signalling Mechanisms, IP over ATM, IP over MPLS, Voice and Video Call Admission Control, QoS management tools and QoS design techniques. It focuses on the QoS tools used to tune converged voice, video and data traffic in enterprise and service provider networks to ensure optimal performance for high profile, mission-critical traffic.
